The Parish Council has been contacted by several members of the public who are in receipt of a leaflet concerning improvement works being considered for the A585 at Singleton crossroads.
These leaflets have been circulated by Highways England, who are currently considering three alternative improvement schemes. All properties within half a mile of any proposed route have been contacted and asked for permission for their land to be surveyed. This is normal procedure and the survey will also look at habitats of local wildlife, e.g. bats, newts etc. When all permissions have been received, Highways England will proceed and prepare firm plans and these will go out for consultation to determine which of the three options is the most favoured.
The Parish Council has not received any further information about this as yet, but will do so when the consultation process begins.
