Singleton Parish Council was very concerned to discover that there is to be a large meeting at a Horse Fair on fields on the outskirts of Poulton-le-Fylde over the May Day Bank Holiday weekend. At a previous similar meeting last year, there were many incidents of anti-social behaviour and the Parish Council has asked for reassurances from the Inspector of Police at Kirkham about what plans are to be put in place.
It had been rumoured that a horse and buggy race would be taking place, but the Police have advised that no racing will be held on the roads, just on private land.
The Police have assured the Parish Council that they will be closely monitoring areas surrounding the event.
