The Parish Council has ordered new play equipment for the children’s play area which it hopes to be fully installed for the summer.
The initial playground cost the Parish Council £30,000 nearly 16 years ago and as with all things, only has a limited lifespan. Items need to be replaced from time to time as to replace the entire equipment when it was all worn out would now be beyond the Parish Council’s finances. Unfortunately the Parish Council was unsuccessful in its request for grant funding to help with the upkeep of the equipment but decided in February to go ahead and make the improvements that it could afford. It is hoped that by doing smaller improvements from time to time that the Parish Council would be able to keep the playground in fine condition for the safety and enjoyment of our children.
