At the Parish Council’s meeting held on 22 January 2015, the Council decided to ask for a 2% rise on the Precept for 2015/16. This rise in the Precept was to cover the drop in the level of grant being paid to the Council by Fylde Borough Council, which last year had been £1,546 and this year was to be £1,379. With everything taken into consideration, Fylde Borough Council’s calculations have put the rise at 3.7%, which is what will be printed on the Council Tax bills, but the actual rise amounts to £175 per year, which equates to 38p per household.
For information, out of the Precept and grant, which are the only source of funding for the Parish Council, the following are provided: –
