Singleton Parish Council has organised training for the defibrillator for residents/workers in the village. The machine is housed at the Village Hall and is accessed by a code from Emergency Services. obviously, we need to be trained up in how actually to use this in the event of serious illness. They have saved many lives around the world since their invention and are critical in First Aid assessment and treatment.
The last such training event held a few years ago was very successful, but you need to re-tune your skills!
A short course is planned, run by the North West Ambulance. Initially we are looking for provisional numbers of those interested to enable dates to be fixed when the pandemic restrictions are fully lifted. This is open to any resident of any age or experience. It could be your first training in First Aid or an important update on your skills.
